Women's Engagement Officer

About the Role

We are seeking a passionate and proactive individual to join PERS. In this vital role, you will develop and facilitate activities that promote health, wellbeing, and social connection among Asian women and other marginalised groups.

You will work alongside community members to ensure their voices are heard and their needs are met, helping to build a supportive and inclusive environment both physically and virtually. The successful candidate will play a key role in fostering a sense of belonging, developing inclusive activities, and ensuring that the voices of women most affected by health inequalities are heard and represented.

You will provide advice, training and one-to-one support to these individuals, and will work with voluntary and community organisations. Experience of community outreach and empowering individuals and groups is essential as the post holder will be providing welfare and employment support to individuals.

Requirements

• The post holder will be female (Schedule 9, part 1 The Equality Act 2010)
• Ability to speak and understand one or more of the South Asian Communities languages used within West Yorkshire
• Experience of community outreach and empowering individuals and groups
